Wow I am officially half way through my marathon training schedule. This weeks long run called for 16km, I ran it today (Friday) because I was off work and it was a perfect day for a long run. Tomorrow I will run 11k and then 6k on Sunday.
I always read and hear people say you can never judge a run on the first few km and boy was that true today, I felt a bit sluggish and legs felt heavy till I hit about 10km, for some reason everything always feels better after 10k :) I finished my 16k and felt strong
When I got home I stretched, foam rolled, 2 min plank and made my recovery smoothie :)
That's baby Jackson my puppy. I can never get a stretch in without him trying to lick my face :p
This Evening Courtney came over to help me set up my blog :) Thanks Courtney. I have been meaning to do this for a while now and thought now is the perfect time because next week my training starts to get real. I have the 25 km Moose run in Cow Bay I will be using this race as a training run and I am super excited, this will be my longest run to date and it is really when I start pushing my limits.
Thanks for stopping by
